make sure wheels are clean as in get some alcohol wipes to clean the rims before u try to put tape on dont let the tape come in contact with floor try sticking it to the wheel then peel it from the card a bit at a time Smile

MOTRAX do wheel stripes in 5mm and 7mm sizes at £4.99 and £7.99 and the 7mm comes with an applicator to aid fitting.

Applying tape

Post by mudslinger on Fri 03 Oct 2008, 5:37 pm

My son used to work at a motorcycle dealership here in Alberta (Canada) and has applied many decals. He said that you need to clean the surface then spray clean water on the surface. Place the decal on the wet surface and because of the water the decal can be moved around for positioning. Once in the correct position gently apply pressure to displace the water. Let it dry then apply more pressure to ensure it adhered properly.
Caveat: He has never applied wheel decals and because of the large circumference may add complications.
